The Journey Begins

My name is Arnaldo Andujar but you can call me Arnald23 and i'm just a college sophomore working my way to become one of the best computer animator that I can possibly imagine or that the world has ever seen. We all have a story to tell and it begins here, this deviantart journal it's not only to spread my mind and to tell a story, but, it's to live an everlasting voyage that it's still alive and kicking. First off let me say that my english it's not the best, hell sometime I think I just write whatever my head can come up with and probably not even read it. I know, I know, it's the smartest thing to do but I just want my thoughts to go where they pleased Plus i'm sure no one will sit here and read this journey entry because no one love me, but im ok with that, atleast I can let my mind run wild and hopefully even get inspire.

The Journey Begins-----

Well lets go back, wayyy back, ok not that much. The only reason I became an artist was because of an obsession, this obsession became greater and greater over time, it was better than anything that I can imagine and it inspire to continue that path. It begins with three powerful words, Play, Create, and Share, and that game it's called LittleBigPlanet. Ever since my freshmen year in highschool I got this game for my PS3 because I felt like I played too many shooters and I needed something fun, so I got this game and it became one of the best experiences of my life. I played the game non-stop for over 5 years, and I still pick it up today and maybe in the future, but this game taught me the concept of community, how to create beautiful worlds and intricate world, criticism, and so much more. Since then I started to draw a little to get the concept of level creating, then story making, storyboarding, ect. Soon after I became a senior in highschool I wonder what I wanted to do for the rest of my live, now that I look back, it reminds me of the episode from Futurama about the careers chip. So after hard thinking I decided to become an animator, for one, I love the whole creative aspect of animation, building your own character, rigging them, modeling the background, animating them, it makes me happy just thinking about it. Now I have to admit I wished I figure this what I wanted to do earlier so I can practice, I wished I could have pick up Maya, Zbrush or Mudbox, so much time, gone in an instant. Anyways it's a shame and a mistake I hope I don't commit again. Now I have to say, LittleBigPlanet wasn't the only game that pushed me to become an animator, even games like Minecraft helped, animated movies, and so much more. I have to say, it's incredible how much a video game an influence someone. 

Now there is someone else I must thank for making me the person that I am today, and that is, Ken Robinson and his quote "If you're not prepared to be wrong, you'll never come up with anything original." this pushed me even more, because there are sometime when i'm afraid to admit it but I am afraid of being wrong and that my art will not be any good, but after watching him I tried to accept it. I even created a live presentation that I did over at Columbia University talking about the power of creativity, what causes it and what can prevent us from showing our true creative self. I think I remember saying the concept of the three "I" that I created. Inspiration, Innovation, and Imagination, If only I can find the recording at vimio. Anyways my life as an artist I have to say it's not a true been a masterpiece but its the way I shape my creative mind that will change the course of my journey. 

I hope to add more to this story but right now it's 2AM and I need to dream about anything I can imagine.
